With over three decades of expertise in entertainment, marketing, and audio innovation, Jamie Arute, the visionary behind 941 Radio, has been a trailblazer in crafting impactful experiences since 1987. Beginning his career as a DJ, Jamie has produced, performed at, and promoted thousands of events, from the prestigious Waldorf Astoria in New York City to Miami’s vibrant Delano. In 1991, he pioneered a full-service entertainment and marketing company in Connecticut, later expanding to New York City, collaborating with industry leaders such as Virgin Records, MTV, Viacom, Foxwoods Hotel & Casino, Billboard, and NASCAR. His radio partnerships with CBS, Infinity, and Clear Channel, along with residencies at iconic venues like Tunnel NYC and Limelight NYC, established him as a master of audio and event production.

 

In 2005, Jamie pioneered a radio network delivering targeted audio advertising at gas pumps, demonstrating his innovative approach to connecting brands with consumers. After successfully leading this venture, he sold the company in 2008 to pursue his passions for martial arts and firearms.

 

Since beginning martial arts training in 1981, Jamie has dedicated himself to the disciplines he has trained, continuing with only brief interruptions over the years. After selling his radio network in 2008, he immersed himself in intensive training, spending 8-10 hours daily and traveling to train with world-class instructors to prepare for opening T4 Survival and Alpha Krav Maga Regional Training Center in Cheshire, Connecticut, in 2008. His mission was to empower individuals with critical self-defense skills. By 2012, Jamie’s expertise earned him a position as one of only three instructors in the U.S. training, testing, and certifying Krav Maga instructors, and he was invited to serve on the Board of Directors for Alpha Krav Maga International. His clients, including the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, DEA, FBI, NYPD, and Quinnipiac University, benefited from his training on defensive tactics and safety.

 

In 2018, Jamie expanded his impact by hosting elite Krav Maga and firearm training events at Moosehead Lake, Maine, drawing clients globally to train with his renowned team. Despite the closure of his Connecticut center during the pandemic, he relocated his operations to Greenville, Maine. 

 

Now, in 2025, Jamie returns to his roots in entertainment and marketing with the launch of 941 Radio, the cornerstone of his new radio network dedicated to delivering vibrant, community-driven content that celebrates the spirit of sarasota-manatee counties. This innovative platform offers local businesses unparalleled advertising and marketing opportunities, enabling them to connect with local consumers.
